My new year resolutions

I like setting new year resolutions year after year even if i don't achieve it.  It gives me a goal to work towards for the entire year so i thought i would share them with you.

1. Read more - I am a self confessed book worm but 2012 has been such a busy year that i only read one book in my spare time (the perks of being a wallflower - brilliant might i add) , every other book has been for school so i will try to read at least 5 books this year.

2. Lose weight - i know, i know same thing every year but i am determined to lose at least a stone this year.

3. Go with the flow - This is not something i share with everyone but i have really bad anxiety so this year i am going to stop worrying ( to an extent) and just go with it .

4. Eat more fruit and veg - this goes with losing weight as i really hate fruit (have i ever told you i have only had a banana once in my life ) so i am trying to increase that so at the the end of 2013 i will have had my 5 a day everyday - boring, i know.

5. Make new friends - Leading on from anxiety , i only have a very close-set of friends so my mission this year is make new friends whether on blogger (hint-hint ) or in person.

6. Blog more - I have been a bad blogger in fact if you looked at my achieves you'll see i have barely blogged at all so i will try getting 2 posts up a week probably more in the holidays (i am blaming school for this one!)

So those are my resolutions for 2013 , why not tell me yours?

Kate moss matte lipsticks.

Kate moss collaborates with rimmel quite frequently and today i have two lipsticks to share with you from the matte range.
I have had these lipsticks for some time now and have only recently made up my mind about what to say about them.

#111 (kiss of life) is not only the only named lipstick of the collection but it is a lovely postbox red. If you are looking for a medium red which is budget friendly but still performs well, this is it.

#107 is one of the only shades i wore in Autumn/ Winter this year as it was bang on trend. #107 is a deep berry shade that leans more on the red side rather than the purple side. Because of this it is easy to wear and look fantastic on nearly every skin-tone. It was a staple in my makeup bag this season.

Wear time is not perfect but it does wear on average 3 hours on me without eating or drinking which is pretty good for a drugstore brand. They aren't fully matte but for the price i think it is worth buying if you want to dip your toes into the pool of matte lipsticks without breaking the bank.

Have you tried this? What did you think about it?

These cost £5.49 from boots, superdrug and some supermarkets.

I ♥ Drugstore makeup tag.

Hi everyone so today i thought i would do the 'i heart makeup tag' tag hope you enjoy.

Questions
1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand?

I would have to say L'oreal because their products are consistently pretty good and i do own a fair bit of their products.

2. What are your favorite face, cheek and lip products?

Face - Rimmel Stay matte face powder - I adore this product it is shamazing! It is very natural and controls shine for around 6 hours before needing a touchup on my very oily skin. My only qualm would be that it comes in such a limited range , i have the last colour in the range (006) and it is just right for me.
Cheeks – I love the Maybelline dream mousse blushes although now that I think about it I think they are discontinued, which is a shame as it is the only drugstore blush I have ever loved
Lip- I love the rimmel kate moss matte lipstick , I have them in shades 111 and 107 they are amazing and worth every penny if you ask me.

3. Least favorite product?

Ohh that's hard I would have to say rimmel eyeshadows , when i tried them there was absolutely NO colour payoff on the lighter shades only on the darkest shades. Also they faded within a hour - even with primer!

4. What is the best makeup bargain?

The best makeup bargain in my opinion would be the collection 2000 lip creme's just for the immense colour payoff, lasting power and the price which is a measley £2.99! A must buy if you ask me.

5. What is your favorite underdog product? (Something you love that often gets overlooked?)

Probably the blistex lip balm as carmex has taken all the drugstore lipbalm thunder! It is just as good if not better.

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?

The revlon just bitten lip balm stains. They are great but for the amount of product it is just not worth £7.99 in my opinion.

7. Show your best drugstore dupe(s)!!

My best dupe would be the collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer for the estee lauder double wear concealer.  It is on-par with double wear but if the shades were more varied and coverage a teeny bit better then i would be in concealer heaven!

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?

The bourjois healthy mix foundation. Although i initially loved this i found within time the foundation got gloopy and started to oxidise on my skin. It may the cold air reacting with it or my oily skin rather than the foundation but i will not be buying this again regardless.

Ps **If you would like separate reviews on any of the above mentioned products please do not hesitate to ask in the comments section below J **

Pps - i hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and i hope you have an amazing 2013 !

Hair Wishlist

I have been recently trying to take care of my hair more and more so these are a list of products that i hope to purchase in the near future.

I want the Lee Stafford hair growth conditioner (£7.99) as even though my hair is quite long i want it to be longer without it breaking, me going to the hairdressers then having to start from square one.
I have heard that the tangle teezer is a godsend for some and with my thick, tangly and breakage prone hair i hope it works for me too.(£10.99)
I would like the charles worthington time defying mousse as i have heard that it gives volume without it look unnatural (hello-Towie!!!)(£5.49)
