No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick

Today i thought i would share my thoughts on my most used lipstick which is No7 sheer temptation in Lovely.

Lovely is a nice shade of pink which looks a lot like my own natural lip colour.  Obviously it is sheer so it gives a lovely (geddit) gloss to the lips and makes mine look 100x better. It is extremely moisturising and feels like a balm to be honest.  It isn't long lasting (lasts around 2 hours on my lips) but it doesn't matter to me but if it is a deal-breaker in your case then i wouldn't recommend this.

It is around £10 which isn't all that cheap but with a no7 voucher it will only be £5 which is a bargain.  Mine has almost run out after months of use which makes it good value in my opinion.

I'll definitely be repurchasing this now that it has run out.

What do you think?

Review | Stila convertible lip and cheek colour in Lillium

Stila is one of the brands that although i have many of their products , i don't really talk about them.  That was until now.  The convertible lip and cheek colour is basically a cream blush you can use on your lips too although i don't really do that as it tends to cling to dry patches on the lips.

This is my first ever cream blush as i have oily skin i felt that cream blush would just slip and slide on my skin.  Boy was i wrong!  This is great, it lasts for hours, blending is easy and the colour payoff is awesome.  I use my Real Techniques Stippling brush to apply this and i don't even feel the need to set it with powdered blush (although if you are in a hot and humid place, i would).

Lillium is a cool toned pink that admittedly doesn't look too natural on me unless i really blend it out.  Somehow it looks really bright but it does make a huge change to my usual barely there blush look.

It is £16 from boots , feelunique.com or their website.

Natural collection nail polish in antique coral

Now you may have or may not have noticed i'm somewhat of a nail polish fiend.  In fact i do change my nails at least once a week.  while i was in boots a couple of weeks ago (looking for an eyebrow pencil - didn't get one :( ) i saw the natural collection stand.  Now call me snobby but i don't normally go for this stand (but i do like the eyeshadow i got there ages ago)

Looks less pink in real life - way to go camera!!!

This nail polish says it coral but myself and everyone i asked have said it looks like a pinky orange.  When applying it used 3 coats.  On the first coat there is very noticeable shimmer but by the third coat it had become almost invisible which was a shame as the shimmer looked great

On the whole i think this is a lovely nail polish for less than £2.  Give it a go!!!

Essie muchi muchi

Yes!!! i finally bought my first essie nail polish last week and i couldn't wait to show everyone.  The reason i never really ventured into the essie bandwagon is mainly the price.  At £7.99 these are the higher end of high street.  But i needed a nice nude-almost-pink colour for my 'little' collection.

Now most nudes tend to really wash me out.  In fact the only nude that i can get on with is revlon's pink nude. This nail polish takes about 4 coats to get opaque, a lightyear to dry and it has now almost run out.  So while i was in boots i decided to take the plunge and get muchi muchi.

Muchi muchi is warm toned which is good for me as i am warm toned and other nudes do look really stark on me.  It took me two coats to achieve the coverage in the picture and it builds up really well. Drying time was great and i finished my nails in 5 minutes (success!) I personally like the big brush as i have wide nails and so it speeds up time.  However that being said i do think that if you have narrow nails you might find brush application a little messy and will require clean up afterwards.

On wednesday's we wear pink !

Today I have a lovely pink nail polish to show you it is Rimmel's rose libertine.

Formula wise, there isn't an awful lot to say.  It dried really quickly and it was opaque in two coats.

French Manicure with a twist!

I have wanted to wear a French manicure for some time now but I like my nails short so I tried false nails.  This was second time I have ever tried to wear false nails on and let’s just say the first time it didn't go so well.  I used elegant touch French manicure false nails.
On application I found the glue really hard to open even with scissors and therefore it was increasingly difficult to cover each nail evenly as it kept on clogging.
But when all that was over and done with, it looked alright.  For some reason to me it was just way to boring so to liven it up a bit I put a nice glittery pink nail polish on my accent nail called VIP by Orly (I think it stands for Very Important Polish - see what I did there ? ) Putting it on was really nice the pictures are with 2 coats but clean-up was so hard as you can most definitely see.
What I forgot was the next day I had horse riding which meant tacking up, riding and then untacking. Amazingly they survived so it was a big thumbs up from this makeup obsessed horse rider.
Overall it was ok but the false nails started to fall off after day 3 :(.

Revlon nail polish - Classy

This year Revlon turns 80 and to celebrate Revlon has launched some new polishes and I picked up 2.  The first one I will review is Classy.

To me this colour is the PERFECT pink it isn’t too milky for my skin tone like most other mid-tone pinks.

The brush is quite thin but the formula was really good and opaque so it was a joy to apply.

The picture are 2 coats and I really think it helps make yourself look instantly polished (no pun intended)

Kiehl's lip balm

While I was in America last summer I decided to finally visit Saks 5th avenue and I naturally went to the beauty counter and bought this lip balm in hue no. 58B.  It is available at £12.50 but I’m sure I bought this for $9.50 but I can't remember anymore.

It is more or less coloured petrolatum based balm in a white tube and it is 15ml of product which is a fair amount.  It is scented and this may be a problem for some people but I personally like the scent - it is really really sweet smelling.

This was great for the winter as it is SPF 15 and protected my lips but still gave them a rosy glow.

It isn't as good of a lip balm as my trusty carmex but I’m willing to look beyond that and my next item on my wish list will be kiehls #1 lip balm.

Nars Super Orgasm Lipgloss

Hi everyone today i will be reviewing Nars Super Orgasm Lipgloss

What they say..............

Serious shine and sexy colour in sheer, creamy and semi-sheer formula. Extremely wearable and versatile shades, lip gloss may be worn alone or over other lip products for heightened drama..
Ultra-shiny and highly pigmentedConvenient wand application Iconic shadesIdeal alone or over lip colour

They describe super orgasm as ~ Peachy pink with gold glitter

Packaging...................

It has a rubber lid which looks nice .... until it gets all messy and impossible to get off and a standard doe-foot applicator.

The lipgloss...........

It wears for 3 hours, and doesn't feel sticky despite the large bits glitter in it.  it isn't that pigmented so i normally just put a thin layer of poisietint under it.  I think nars got it spot on with their description of this lipgloss.
