No7 Sheer Temptation Lipstick

Today i thought i would share my thoughts on my most used lipstick which is No7 sheer temptation in Lovely.

Lovely is a nice shade of pink which looks a lot like my own natural lip colour.  Obviously it is sheer so it gives a lovely (geddit) gloss to the lips and makes mine look 100x better. It is extremely moisturising and feels like a balm to be honest.  It isn't long lasting (lasts around 2 hours on my lips) but it doesn't matter to me but if it is a deal-breaker in your case then i wouldn't recommend this.

It is around £10 which isn't all that cheap but with a no7 voucher it will only be £5 which is a bargain.  Mine has almost run out after months of use which makes it good value in my opinion.

I'll definitely be repurchasing this now that it has run out.

What do you think?

Makeup | Maybelline colour sensational lipstick

This is actually the first ever lipstick i have bought from Maybelline.

It is pretty tacky packaging and looks as much as it cost in my opinion. The coloured lid is meant to identify with the colour of the lipstick but it just doesn't look right to me.

The lipstick (148 - summer pink) is a vibrant blue toned pink with a hint of shimmer and frost in it.

On the lips it is not that vibrant but on swatches it is (maybe it is because my lips are already  pigmented) but it makes it easy to wear during the day.

It lasts around 3 hours on my lips which isn't that bad although you really have to use lip balm as it settles into the creases of your lips (not a good look)

Overall it is a complementary colour for my skin tone but i don't think i will be buying Maybelline Lipsticks in the future, i'm afraid.

Review | Mac Lipstick in Fanfare

Today I have another MAC lipstick to show you, this time it is Fanfare.

The MAC website describes Fanfare as a mid-tone yellow-pink.  I have to agree with that statement , it is a very wearable, natural colour (think my-lips-but-better).

It does in my opinon work with all skintones as it isn't overly yellow toned so even really pale skinned girls with pink undertones in their skin can work this shade.

It is a creamsheen finish which means it isn't drying and it has good colour payoff . It lasts 3-4 hours on my lips but do keep in mind I have really dry lips which may affect the wear time.

Price - £14 / $15

Review | MAC lipstick in Lovelorn

I will be honest , I only have 3 MAC lipsticks in total - all in different finishes i might add.  But this is one of my most favourite lipsticks ever.

Lovelorn is described on the MAC website as an emotive blue-pink which I think isn't all that true. I do think it is pretty natural to wear but not as cool toned as you'd expect.  I think that most skintones could wear this with ease as the cool tones aren't overly obvious

If you have really pale or really dark skin , however, i wouldn't buy this as it can appear to stark for your skin tone

Lovelorn is a Lustre formula which means it isn't drying but it also doesn't last for a long time.  Wear time is only about 2-3 hours.

Price - £14 / $15

Kate moss matte lipsticks.

Kate moss collaborates with rimmel quite frequently and today i have two lipsticks to share with you from the matte range.
I have had these lipsticks for some time now and have only recently made up my mind about what to say about them.

#111 (kiss of life) is not only the only named lipstick of the collection but it is a lovely postbox red. If you are looking for a medium red which is budget friendly but still performs well, this is it.

#107 is one of the only shades i wore in Autumn/ Winter this year as it was bang on trend. #107 is a deep berry shade that leans more on the red side rather than the purple side. Because of this it is easy to wear and look fantastic on nearly every skin-tone. It was a staple in my makeup bag this season.

Wear time is not perfect but it does wear on average 3 hours on me without eating or drinking which is pretty good for a drugstore brand. They aren't fully matte but for the price i think it is worth buying if you want to dip your toes into the pool of matte lipsticks without breaking the bank.

Have you tried this? What did you think about it?

These cost £5.49 from boots, superdrug and some supermarkets.

Elizabeth Arden Exceptional Lipstick - Breathless

I'm not really into crazily expensive lipsticks so when Elizabeth Arden were having a sale, this lipstick was only £7.50 - bargain!!!

What they say…
Exceptional in every way. A creamy, long-wearing lipstick with staying power and shine. One coat is just enough

I have to agree , it is really creamy, applies like a lip balm, it doesn't stay that long for me ( 1 hr 30 mins) and one coat is really nice but it is definitely build-able.

Would I repurchase ~ yes
Pigmentation ~ 7/10 (not the best but not terrible either)
Where I can buy this? ~ Debenhams, house of Fraser, Elizabeth Arden website
Price ~I got it for £7.50 but it was half price so it would cost £15

17 Mirror shine lipstick

Hey guys today I’ll be reviewing 17 mirror shine lipstick in nudist peach (£4.59)

What they say................
Get ultra-glam, slick colour that creates the illusion of fuller, luscious lips

Packaging..............
I really don't like it.  Its bright turquoise and it's shiny which i guess is because its 'mirror shine' with pink '17's' around the rim.

The lipstick..............
It is a sheer peach (which barely showed up when i tried to swatch) which lasts a really long time even after eating/drinking it was still there it was just not that glossy.  And for less than £5 it is not going to break the bank.

Grade - B+
